Our Committee

Our committee is the driving force behind the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of our club. Comprised of dedicated volunteers who are passionate about korfball and the wellbeing of our members, the committee works tirelessly to ensure that our club remains a welcoming and vibrant community for all.

From organising training sessions and matches to coordinating social events and managing club finances, our committee members bring a diverse range of skills and experiences to the table. Their commitment to the club outside of training is always important and they are all invaluable assets to MK Bucks.

Roles

  • Club Chair: The Club Chair oversees the overall operations of the club, providing leadership and direction to ensure its success and growth. They preside over meetings, represent the club externally, and collaborate with committee members to achieve the club's goals.
  • Club Secretary: The Club Secretary manages administrative tasks, maintains records, and handles communication within the club. They organize meetings, take minutes, and ensure that members are kept informed about important club matters.
  • Finance Director: The Finance Director is responsible for managing the club's finances, including budgeting, fundraising, and financial reporting. They work to ensure the club remains financially sustainable and transparent in its financial operations.
  • Welfare Officer: The Welfare Officer promotes the wellbeing and safety of club members, providing support and guidance as needed. They oversee safeguarding policies, handle welfare concerns, and ensure that the club provides a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Social Secretary: The Social Secretary organises social events and activities to foster camaraderie and friendship among club members. They plan outings, social gatherings, and celebrations to enhance the club's sense of community.
  • Tournament Secretary: The Tournament Secretary coordinates the club's participation in tournaments and competitions, managing entries and organising logistics. They liaise with tournament organisers and ensure that teams are prepared for upcoming events.
  • Media Secretary: The Media Secretary handles the club's communication and publicity, managing social media accounts, website content, and promotional materials. They help to raise the club's profile and share news and updates with members and the wider community.
  • Charity Officer: The Charity Officer oversees the club's charitable activities and initiatives, organising fundraising events and coordinating donations to charitable causes. They work to make a positive impact on the community through philanthropic efforts.
  • Kit Secretary: The Kit Secretary manages the club's kit and merchandise, including ordering, distribution, and maintenance. They ensure that club members have access to quality gear and represent the club with pride on and off the field.
  • Coach: The Coach provides guidance, instruction, and support to players, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential. They plan and lead training sessions, strategise for matches, and inspire and motivate the team.
